AAFF hosted the second workshop in our Event Production Series: Introduction to Backstage Production taught by Christopher Smith, the owner and operator of Rumwolf Video Productions, a visual arts studio and live event production company based in Bentonville, AR. He will share everything you need to know about an event’s backstage and how to run it based on his nearly decade of experience as a Director of Event Technologies, Technical Supervisor, and AV Coordinator, as well as leading production for Arkansas’ premier fashion show, NWA Fashion Week.

11.19.19 PRODUCTION BASICS | INTRO TO EVENT PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

Christopher Smith of Rumwolf Video Productions, the Production Director behind NWA Fashion Week presented on the fast paced nature of event production. The public was welcome to this free workshop to learn along members of the Fashion Week team as we do a deep dive into the apparatus of production!

This workshop was an introduction into production, taking NWA Fashion Week as a case study and dissecting what makes an event work, and what can lead to disaster!  This was a great opportunity to professionalize those who may already be involved in events but have never formalized their training process.
